About 20 years ago, Waitomo Adventures Ltd pioneered the fantastic Lost World as a new and exciting adventure. The huge success of this concept led us to have found the unique range of five fantastic adventure options.
Today, Waitomo Adventures Ltd remains family owned and is still operated by the founder who lives locally.
We are a company with the training infrastructure and safety excellence that helped to establish the standards for the industry. All our guides are not just incredibly helpful and funny but also fully qualified to those standards.
Our company guarantees:
- We are a Qualmark Endorsed Activity.
- We are the only company that can take you on the options listed - including the Lost World 100m abseil, which is about twice the height of any other cave abseil available in Waitomo.
- At least some of our trips can operate - no matter what the weather is doing.
- We offer the only adventure caving activities that have won their class at the NZ Tourism Awards.
- Having "Best Practice" safety procedures.
- All our trainees constantly and closely supervised.
- Office hours a minimum of 7am to 7pm daily.
- Open every day except for Christmas and New Years days.
